Our Intern Unmesh with The Prime Minister of UK
Our Intern Unmesh's App was selected as the winner of Silicon Valley comes to UK November 2011(This is a national competition, and he had won the Southampton competition in October 2011). He was awarded the certificate at 10 downing street and congratulated by the Prime Minister himself.

Unmesh has won the first prize at the prestigeous App-Athon Competition 2011, for his very useful and clever Android App design. Unmesh is doing his intership at Schogini Systems.
Quote "I participated on a App coding competition "Silicon Valley comes to the UK"(http://svc2uk.com/appathon), last weekend.We had to build applications on well-known consumer facing platforms using recently released UK government data sets. I am happy to tell you that I got first place in the competition conducted at University of Southampton. First, I would like to thank you as the knowledge gained from the internship was invaluable in coding the android application I developed for the competition." - Unmesh 19 October 2011.
A brief description of the App is given below.
Emergency Assistance App
- A global App which provides the user with assistance on several emergencies and day to day problems.
- The App assists its users in numerous health and security related issues.
- The most elegant feature of the App is the "Emergency Button" which when pressed, tracks the location of the user. The tracking information along with other user data are send to someone or some server, pre-specified by the person. The information can be sent by email or sms if data(Internet) is not available in the phone. If enough credit is not available for sending SMS a call can be placed to emergency numbers 999,991 (Although the App is to be used only when it is less urgent than 999 or 911 as this is not a replacement for those emergency services)or110 pre-specified by the user. After the pressing the button the user is provided with an interactive map showing all the emergencies services(police stations, fire stations, hospitals,pharmacies) near his/her location. Options are given to navigate or contact these services.
- The interactive map can be accessed by the user without pressing the emergency button. Along with the emergency services many other services like vets,oculists,dentists,GP.
- The map also provides information about various embassies, emergency numbers for other countries, for users who travel abroad.
